Ow, Ow, Ow!

Last week we had a beautiful 70 degree day so we took the boys to Chisholm Trail.  It was the first time we had taken them there and Hudson LOVED it.  He loved going through all the side trails and exploring.  Here's a few pics of the adventure:

Hudson wanted to play "bears" and build a campfire.  So he gathered up all the wood.  Then we distracted him with doing something else since we weren't actually going to light the fire!

Throwing rocks in the water-his favorite part.  I'm trying to grow his hair out longer to see if it will curl up more.  What do you think?  Just looks like a mop?  :)  Jamie's threatening to buzz it all off. But I think it's cute.  He's just starting to get the little "wings" like baseball players get under their caps.

It was all fun and excitement until right after this picture.  Then he slipped on the rocks and went down.  He pulled himself together pretty quickly and it was about dinner time anyway so we headed back to the car.  Then he fell again on the sidewalk - within sight of the car.  That was the end of the fun. (Although it was still really funny!)

Gigi got him all fixed up.  He wore all the bandaids - even the one on his face - all evening.  And, of course, refused to take a bath cause that would make them sting.  Thankfully the next day he only needed one new bandaid on his knee...

Why I'm Marching....

It's time to March for Babies!   The march is Saturday, April 14th.  If you'd like to join with us in Marching for Babies, please click here.  You can either sign up to walk on our team and start your own fundraising or make a donation to our team - "For Tate's Sake".  The March of Dimes is a non profit that funds research about why premature births happen, how to prevent them and medical technology that saves lives. They also provide education and support to families that have premature babies.
Tate might not be here today without the research and technology that March of Dimes has provided.  Please help us give back to a cause that has touched our lives.

We are also doing a promotion through the month of March at the clinic.  Refer your friends and family in this month and they only have to pay a $20 donation to the March of Dimes for their 1st visit.  And we will match that donation.

testing the limits..but he sure is cute doing it!

Baby Steps

Look at my little man!

He started taking a couple steps a few weeks ago - it has taken me this long to finally catch it on video.  Now he can go halfway across the room.  Very wobbly but still made it!  Most of the videos I just get Hudson's back cause he keeps jumping in front of the camera and trying to get Tate to walk to him.  But I finally caught this one yesterday.  Please excuse Hudson in the back in his underwear!

I figured you could sympathize:

gossip

Hudson's favorite books are the Berenstain Bear books. We own almost all of them.  He has most of them memorized and can even tell you what color each book is when you're looking for it amongst all the other books in his room.  His newest one is The Easter Story - we read it several times before he went to bed the night he got it and I promised him I'd read it to him again in the morning.

7:15 am  - Hudson is standing beside my bed, tapping me on the nose.  I open my eyes and he says "Mom, can we read my book now?"  He crawled up beside me, I read it to him - half asleep - then rolled over and went back to sleep!

Anyway, on the back of each book are pictures of other books.  This one had a new one on the back called Gossip Gang.  I was trying to explain what gossip was to him:

Me:  It's like if I told Daddy that I thought you had a big nose.  That would be gossip.
Hudson:  No, mom.  That's not 'gossipling'.  That would be a LIE.
