On Wednesday Hudson's friend Nathan came over and spent the morning playing with Hudson. Nathan is only 10 days older than Hudson and they are about the same size but Nathan has 2 older brothers so he plays quite a bit rougher (as you'll see at the end of the video!). He also taught Hudson a few bad ideas like jumping on the couch, blowing your nose into your hand (gross!) and closing the doors but I think Hudson has forgotten everything except the shutting the doors thing. He keeps getting himself locked in rooms now.

fun with Uncle Jamie

We babysat our niece and nephew last night while their mom and dad went out to dinner for their anniversary! Anna is almost 4 and Jacob is almost 22 months. Our friend Doug and his daughter Bayley - she's 3 - came over to play as well. The whole evening was crazy and I think I might as well get used to it because Jamie was the big instigator of it all so I know when Hudson get's big enough this is what our house will be like all the time. Hopefully not quite so much high pitched squealing though!



My Montage 6/15/09

Anna, Hudson and Bayley taking a bath. Jacob wasn't interested in bathtime so he got out pretty quick but Hudson liked taking a bath with the girls. That's his first time to take a bath with other kids and the girls were pretty entertaining. Anna called Bayley" "Belly" all night cause she couldn't pronounce it right and Bayley called Anna "Hannah" all night.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Jerry's house and went swimming in their neighborhood pool and hung out and played. Our friends Ian and Kamra were there with their son Titus, who is 3 months older than Hudson. Jerry is Jake and Jennifer's son and he is 3 months younger than Hudson so they had fun playing together. We had a few tumbles when Hudson and Jerry kept trying to use each other to balance or hold on to since neither of them are walking yet but they all had fun playing together.
These are friends of ours from Kansas City - they all went to Cleveland together so it's fun to get together with them and reminisce about the old days - plus it's fun that we have 3 boys so close together!

I think we might have a few problems with Hudson and biting. Normally he only bites me but yesterday I caught him doing this several times. He has also started giving kisses lately so maybe he was just going to give him a kiss. But I didn't let him get close enough to find out!

Hudson and Jerry. Jennifer cleaned out a whole cabinet and filled it with tupperware and toys for Jerry to play with and the boys played in there for quite a while.

Hudson went to a birthday party tonight for his friend Reign. 3 of my friends from high school were there with their families - and it was all boys! 7 of them in all!

Hudson and Nathan - Nathan is 2 weeks older than Hudson - but obviously has already mastered the crawling!

Two of my best friends have boys close to the same age as Hudson. One of them lives in Texas so we don't get to see each other very often but she was up for Thanksgiving so we were able to get the boys together. It was fun to see them interact. Reign is 3 months older than Hudson and Nathan is just 10 days older.

Reign was crawling everywhere and Nathan and Hudson would just watch him crawl around. Although Hudson does look like he's about to bite him in this picture. I think he was just getting hungry!

I think we'll have quite the basketball team when these boys get older!
