I think I have been replaced. Daddy has now surpassed me in the "favorite parent" category. All week, all day long all I hear about is "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy...." He walks out of the room and it's " Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy"...He hears Jamie's truck in the driveway and it's "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy"...I read him a book that says the word "Daddy" and it's "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy"...you get the picture. For breakfast in the morning he doesn't want cheerios, he want's Daddy's cereal. Then he drinks the milk from the bowl - just like daddy taught him. I don't mind though - I love watching them play together and the bond they have. The way both of their eyes light up when Jamie gets home from work. It's sweet and I hope it never changes and only grows stronger with time.
And I realized this week that Jamie is no longer DaDa but Daddy, while I'm still MaMa. But I won't be "mama" forever - so I should enjoy it as long as it lasts. They grow up too quick!
