our world's turned upside down

He has figured it out. He can now walk all around the room, bend over and pick things up and stand back up when he falls over. He still holds his arms high up in front for balance but he is doing really good. This is what he likes to do before he stands back up. He thinks it's pretty cute and funny - which I have to agree, it is!

If you look closely (in the video) you can also see his bad farmer's tan. Poor kid!

Baby steps

Getting braver and braver every day. Today he started letting go of the couch/table and taking a few steps on his own instead of us having to stand him up and get him going. Still pretty unsteady but it's hard to keep your balance with such a big head!

First Steps

Finally! For the past week or two he has gotten to where he only needs to hold on to one finger while he's walking but he just won't let go. As soon as you do he flops down to the ground. But I figured if he was distracted enough and holding something in his hands he might start figuring it out - and basketball is a great distraction. He LOVES playing it. He also has started letting go of things and standing on his own and clapping for himself when he does it. So I know he is finally figuring out there's more to life than crawling on all fours!
